They are also self fertile so only one tree is required to set fruit. These varieties have proven winter hardiness, and the fruit quality has been exceptional in my orchard.&nbsp; Growing requirements are the same as peaches, any soil that drains well. <\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h1><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Nectarines can be used for the same purposes as peaches including pies, wine making, drying, and canning and freezing for the later varieties.<\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h1><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">If you have to peel your peaches because of the fuzz, nectarines are for you.<\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"has-text-align-center\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong> NECTARINES SHOULD BE PLANTED 10&#8242; APART<\/strong><br><\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center\">                 <strong>ALL NECTARINE TREES ARE PRICED AT $34.00 ea.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h5>&nbsp;<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Easternglo<\/strong> &#8211; this July ripening variety is our earliest nectarine. Medium-large fruits are completely bright cherry red, with firm, sweet and tangy flesh exclusive to nectarines. Easternglo is a great season opener!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> Ripens in late July<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Fantasia &#8211; <\/strong>is our latest ripening nectarine. The large sized, bright red over yellow fruits have a traditional, sweet-tangy nectarine flavor, and ripen later in August. Trees are strong growing and have good winter hardiness. One of the best nectarines I&#8217;ve ever grown !\u00a0 <\/span> <strong> <\/strong> <strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Ripens later in August<br><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Sunglo<\/strong> &#8211; is a great mid-season variety that produces large, red blushed, freestone fruit with a wonderful sweet flavor. Trees are rapid growing and extremely productive.
