Dolgo crabapples are a large fruited variety (1″- 1 1/2″ dia.) that’s widely planted for wildlife food plots or pollination of other apple varieties. The flower buds are pink, opening to a cloud of brilliant white blooms, and the fruit is oval shaped, dark red and has a delicious sweet-tart flavor. They also make the most delicious rose colored apple jelly and butter you’ve ever tasted.  Ripening in September – October, they are quickly consumed by many types of animals and birds, and humans too.

These trees are not grafted, they are grown from seed and will reach 20′-25′ in height, they will also grow back from the root true to the Dolgo variety if chewed back or girdled by animals. This rootstock is very adaptable to just about any soil type as long as it does not remain flooded for long periods of time.

This very cold hardy, rapid growing tree also has great ornamental value with its beautiful spring bloom, healthy green summer foliage, and profusion of red fall fruit and beautiful yellow/orange foliage.    SOLD OUT
